No More Cast

Elisha is now cast free. They still don't know what he did, but there is evidence that there was a slight break. The doctor said he might still be a little weak and may limp some for about a week, but if he's not running by next Monday to come back in. Well, as we were leaving Elisha yelled out "race mom" and began to run to the elevator. So much for taking about a week to recover. This morning he pulled his leg out of his p.j.'s and said "hey mom, cast gone". He seems happy to be free.
Katie's excited too. We told her we couldn't drive up to see snow if he still has a cast because he might get it wet. As soon as she saw the cast was removed she jumped up and down and said "SNOW!" So next week we will be driving up to see the snow. Hopefully we'll somehow stay warm as we do it.
I'll try to remember the camera to take pictures!
Merry Christmas!

  1. I just found your blog via your comment on Debbie's blog. I think it is so cool that you're doing this -- what a great way to keep a record of life! Enjoy your time in the snow. Perhaps you can take along your electric blanket!
